About me
I am so happy to be teaching here at Target Range. I began working here in 2009 after returning to Montana from overseas teaching. I hold a bachelor's degree in Art Education and Commercial Art as well as certification in Elementary Education. My Master's degree is in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Early Childhood Education. I began my professional career in 1987 teaching third grade. Since then, I have spent many years in the regular classroom, teaching grades K-4 and as an art specialist K-9.
What you can expect in art this year
Over the course of the 4-8 art program, students will work with clay, sculpture materials, various types of painting, drawing, and printing media as well as textiles. They will gain general knowledge of art elements, compositional principles and art styles and will develop the fundamental skills needed to use various art media and processes.

How we can work together
If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's work or well-being, please email me or leave a voice message. Please know that most project work will be done in class. If your child will be away for an extended absence, please email me for specific instructions. Depending on the length of the absence and the specific projects we are doing, I may post modified lessons in Google Classroom.
