About me

My name is Jennifer Corbett. I absolutely love teaching 2nd grade and being a member of the Target Range staff. I grew up in Missoula, Montana. I attended Target Range K-8, went to Big Sky High School, and received my Bachelors in Education from The University of Montana. I continued my education with earning a Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership. When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with my three children, my husband, family, and friends.

How we can work together

It is easiest to get in touch with me via email. My email is: jennifer.corbett@target.k12.mt.us I also use an app called Remind that you can send me a quick message and I will respond at my earliest convenience. My class Remind code is: @287kc28. If you are trying to reach me about a time sensitive concern such as, ride change or change in your child's normal routine, please call the school directly and have the front office contact me.

As students become more capable and independent, it is important that we work together to make sure they are supported and/or challenged.

  • In second grade, we don't assign homework, but encourage parents to spend quality time together with their kids and read for enjoyment together.

  • We recommend 15-20 minutes every day as possible.

  • We don't generally have a need for volunteers in the classroom in 2nd grade, but have occasional projects, parties or field trips where parents are welcome to volunteer.

We will send home weekly newsletters with "What is happening in 2nd grade" so you can stay on top of what they are learning in the classroom. If you ever have questions or concerns, please let me know! When we all work together, our students are more likely to be successful!
